Brilliant Connection

Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers notice how people think together, without reducing conversation to a formula. Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option.

What we welcome

We are interested in clear, original pieces about questions, listening, group discussion, different perspectives and the movement from an exchange to a shared next step. Useful formats include a focused explanation, a careful comparison, a historical account, a close reading of a common assumption or a guide to shaping one particular discussion.

A strong pitch

Tell us the central idea, why it matters to a general reader and what the piece will cover that a broad overview would miss. Include a proposed title, a short outline, the intended format and any sources or permissions the piece would rely on. Keep one pitch to one clear subject; a precise angle is easier to assess than a list of possible topics.

Originality and fit

Submissions should be original, clearly written and supported where they make factual claims. Do not present personal experience as proof that an approach works for everyone, and avoid promising outcomes for a technique. Please tell us about relevant interests that could affect how readers understand the piece. Sending a proposal does not guarantee publication.

Our point of view

An idea changes when another mind meets it.

We pay attention to the questions, pauses and points of view that make shared thinking more than a turn-taking exercise.
